MODE OF ACTION / PHARMACOLOGY OF METHYLCOBALAMIN AND PREGABALIN

Nerve can send false messages to your brain. The brain thinks that a part of your body is being hurt when it is not. This makes you feel pain. By altering the way nerves work, pregabalin may reduce your pain. Pregabalin subtly reduces the synaptic release of several neurotransmitters, apparently by binding to alpha2-delta subunits.

Methylcobalamin helps in the synthesis of neuronal lipids, regeneration of axonal nerves, and has neuroprotective activity, which promotes neurons to function in a proper way and thus improves neuropathic syndromes such as neuropathic pain. It is an approved treatment for peripheral neuropathy
