Lipikind 20 Tablet belongs to statins group of medicines also known as HMG-CoA Inhibitor. It is used in the treatment of High Lipid or Cholesterol. Due to deposition of cholesterol in blood vessels. The lumen of blood vessels may get narrow and causes high blood pressure and blockage of the blood arteries which mail lead to a heart attack or stroke.

You should check cholesterol levels regularly. Along with this medication, you need also to change your lifestyles such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake, and weight reduction. It is important to avoid taking high fat in your meal.

HOW TO USE:

MODE OF ACTION

This tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It acts by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, raising the level of "good" cholesterol (HDL).

WARNING:

This medicine should not be used in some conditions such as Liver disease, Pregnancy, and breastfeeding.

Diabetic patients should monitor their blood sugar levels while taking this medicine may lead to an increase in blood sugar levels.
